Ordered some .38sp 125gr rnfp and looking for some target loads. Anyone use these? Thanks, Terry

I used to use the 125 gr. cast lead bullets in my 38 Special with either HS-700X or American Select. I switched to the 158 gr. weight lead bullets and use either WST, American Select or my personnal favorite Trail Boss. You can find the load data for Trail Boss and WSt on the Hodgdon website.

One of my fav's is a lite load of bullseye under 148gr cast wc.
But it's not for everyone as a lite load is easy to double charge if you're not paying attention.

I've not loaded 125gr cast bullets, but my favorite plinking load is 2.8gr Bullseye under 158 LSWC.

Real close to mine Brent.
Only dif is the bullet 148gr wc and a touch more powder.

You end up feeling just a bit more felt recoil that a 22lr.
Absolute pleasure to plink with off the back porch on a rain day.:sunbath:

Larry, I loaded up a bunch of 158gr swc gc rounds with Unique this winter also.
That's a great all around powder that delivers great performance.
I've used that stuff in all kinds of rounds/calibers over the years.

I use Unique for my .357 Mags, since I didn't have any other magnum suitable powder.

OF, I load mine as light as I do since my lead is so soft. Keeping velocity down to prevent leading.
