Cops in Rockford, Illinois (about 90 miles NW of Chicago) responded to call around 1:15 p.m. as home invasion.
22 y.o. suspect (photo has been released) apparently stabbed someone in a home and went crazy around the neighborhood.
AP says it was a beating and stabbing attack that left four people dead "in a matter of minutes."
Several people injured.
Two of the victims were run over, AP reported.
One of the deceased was a mail carrier, according to USPS.
Suspect is in custody.
According to county prosecutor, "[The suspect] said that he believes that drugs provided to him by [one of the deceased victims] were laced with an unknown narcotic ... ][The suspect] said he became paranoid after the drug usage. He said he retrieved a knife from the kitchen ... and proceeded to stab” his friend and his friend’s mother to death.
