6.5 Grendel, can you find one for $1,000 or less?

My understanding is the grendel is based on .223 round and Creed is based on .308? or something close to that? Was interested in the smaller round....

Where do you recommend to start with a barrel or upper? I could find someone to help build if I could find the parts.

If you decide to build an AR, the .264 LBC is another designation for the Grendel. I built one a few years ago and have never even shot it. Hell, I'm not even sure why I built it.

I built mine with an Alexander Arms barrel and bolt. 20" barrel, rifle is extremely accurate. More accurate than I am for sure. It is also a great hunting caliber. Apparently Alexander Arms is no longer selling barrels, if you want one of theirs you have to buy a complete upper. Here is a pic of mine.

I don't know anything about this company, but this barrel looks saaweeet! I just found it from a quick google search.

And here is a cheaper option from the same company.

If you decide to build your own I would be glad to help if you need it.

Same ammo. AA owns the rights to the Grendel name, so Les Baer came up with his own designation. There is an extremely small change in the chamber, but both are cross compatible. The .264 used to be what non AA barrels were designated as. The same thing goes for the .50 Beowulf. It also has a non AA designation that uses the same ammo.
