I will probably get a .308 AR this year, but for now, this is my biggest AR caliber.

Here is my 6.8 SPC II rifle:

What mags?
What scope?
Like it.

6.8SPC -- standards used to be PRI and Barrett mags. probably still is. Silver State Armory brass. Wolf SRM primers…………

I'd strongly consider an ARP barrel. HB is in the know with that caliber.

Anderson mfg lower
PSA premium 6.8 spc II kit
magpul furniture
caldwell AR bipod
wilson combat accutac
primary arms 1-4x w/ burris pepr mount
D&H mags

It is a sub-moa gun, just not with me behind it. I've shot 2-3moa groups of 5 at 100yd but usually at least 3 bullet holes are touching. I might be able to do it with a scope with more zoom

Wow....taking longer than I expected. Of course, that's because I got sidetracked and started doing a couple of other things.

In any case, the 6.8 is almost complete. Bolt, barrel, & muzzle are ordered and on the way from Stag. Still contemplating slapping it together myself or having someone else do it for me. Hmmmmmm.....I'll either have to buy the tools or pay someone.

Just need to pick up a couple of mags and wait for Magpul to start shipping these.....and then I'll be off to the range.

As far as the sidetracking goes...since I had that ACE stock lying around (I now realize that extra parts leads to extra stuff to play with) I picked up a poly lower, some paracord (thx DirtyDave), rummaged through the spare parts, and voila!

Not the most superb of paracord wrap jobs...but it's my first time and not entirely hideous. Don't exactly know what I'm going to do with this one. I had planned on putting together a dedicated AR22 but my WTB paid off and I found the rifle I'm going to modify for an Appleseed.
I guess it'll sit in the safe or I'll sell it.

So.....the Anderstagpul 6.8SPCII is nearing completion and I've already got another project to work on.
QUESTION: For the Marlin soon to be an LTR, who in the metro area will inlet a stock to flush fit a couple of 2-screw oval sling swivel bases?

Again....thanks to all for helping further this addiction.

Thanks to Steve over at Cold Hand Arms for finishing it off for me.
Shout outs to Fat Boy and the OSA collective as well for feeding and encouraging the habit.
Going fishing this weekend.....will hit the range middle of next week to test it out.

Dang!! I really like the complete look you ended up with. I hope it shoots as good as it looks. What mags?? I so want a 6.8!!

Thanks.....I'm real happy with the way it turned out. I had a picture in my head when I started and knew what I wanted to do, but I just wasn't sure what I was going to get. I am quite pleased with myself and the way this one looks.
It weighs in at around 9lbs as pictured.
I've got a couple of 5rd C-Products mags coming from Midway that should be waiting on me when I get back from my fishing trip.
I'll be hitting Banner next Wed or Thurs to test it out.....can't wait.
