Just curious. I know 7.62 & .308 have different max pressures. I also know necks are slightly different. I have shot both and noticed no difference. My thoughts are that Federal manufactures both to have the same velocities, therefor having the same ballistics. Would this be correct? Surely the crimped primers on the 7.62 wouldn't effect anything. The necks are the only thing in question, but I believe Federal negates difference by using powder to produce matching velocities. I am asking because at 1000 yards, there could be a shift in POI.
