Anybody out there rebarrel a 77/22 to .17m2? I'm keeping my eye open for a stock I can open up for a .920 barrel and give it a try. Don't want to mess with my existing stock so I can go back if I want.

That would be fun.

I have a 77/22. Like it a lot.

You know you can buy a 77/17. Maybe you could get some measurements off a stock one.

Go to Richards gunstocks and order a stock with the 920 barrel groove.
Thats about the cheapest way to go.
most are about $79-119 depending on model. 99% inleted so they drop in without to much work.
A surplus wood stock is hard to find and about the same price when you find one.
I know cause I wanted a factory stock for mine but, I think I'm just going to order a grey laminate from Richards.
Only been trying to buy a used factory stock for 2 years and no way I'm paying $210 for a brand new one.
