I am curious to what you guys are using for 9mm projectiles for those of you that shoot high volumes. I usually shoot 12000 plus rounds a year so I was looking for something a little cheaper than Montana Gold. I will be using a stock Glock barrel so lead is out of the question. Any sources for plated that are a little cheaper than $.09 a round?

Here's a couple of other options:

Bayou Bullets, a little over 7cents apiece including shipping when you order 3500 at a time. Have seen lots of guys shoot these coated bullets thru stock glock barrels at matches.

Xtreme Bullets, 8.4 cents each, might get a better deal with volume ordering.

I've been shooting the Xtremes lately and they've been good. I shoot about 6K a year, not exactly high volume, but more than some.

Thanks for all the replies! I am going to give Bayou bullets a call and talk to them. At $.072 a piece that's enough for me to try them and see how they work! Worst case with the money saved I can get a new LWD barrel.

You might think about the Zero brand jacketed bullets made in Alabama. Cullman AL as I recall. Powder valley in Winfield KS used to carry them and they were the cheapest option on the market a couple of years ago.

I shoot xtreme 124 plated from rmrbullets. RMR buys in bulk and repackages for its customers. My 17 eats these things up with no sort of fouling. I've gotten 2nds when they were out of firsts and couldn't find the difference. Xtreme's plating is far thicker than berry's to boot and they recommend loading as FMJ.
