I'm looking at getting a Rock Island 1911 in 9mm. Other than hearing about them I've never owned or shot one before. Wondering what y'all can tell me about em'?

It’s a bad pic but I have one in 45ACP. Don’t think your question is really caliber specific. I’m very happy with the pistol as well as the Rock Island M206 I keep in the nightstand. They are sturdy, dependable guns that won’t win a beauty contest.

I also have one in 45acp the only problem i have had with mine is not liking to feed semi wad cutters other than that no problems
