I wonder what puts out more energy, the primer or the powder charge? The primer looks ridiculously oversized. I never noticed that in .25 ACP before.

That was my first thought( why a large size primer( maybe more velosity)

It looks about like the primer in the Speer Gold Dot .25ACP that I have in my hand. .25ACP is just an itsy-bitsy round.
