I’m a sucker for blued steel, walnut, and 30/06

Picked this up from sooner state pawn. Remington 721 30/06. Had rings and a k4 weaver in the safe so put them on. Has great trigger as well. According to the barrel code she was a first year production rifle made august of ‘48. Hope she’s a shooter. This makes 30/06 #4 in the safe lol. Barrel is marked patent pending as well

Classic piece. Got one almost like it in the safe. Only difference is that it still has the factory steel butt plate and a peep sight had been fitted...which we left alone. The old thing shoots pretty darn good.

I’m going to toy with it with the scope or maybe another scope I have and work up some loads. But I want to do a peep and have a no nonsense big game rifle.

Backorder of 3 showed up today.

Have 2 more, 2 mag catches and 6 power springs hoping show up this week.

Nice. I’ve got 2 and a mag catch coming for my 43x. I’m curious to see how they run at 15+1 and especially how easy it is to reload a full 15 rounder.

Woo Hoo! My Possum Hollow Bore Guide for my CZ .22lr showed up today! Now I can clean it easier, faster, and without risking any damage from poking that rod in. These are ridiculously simple, and probably cost like 75 cents to make (and sell for like $20) but they are an easy and convenient tool to prevent potential damage to the gun or by bending/scraping the cleaning rod IMO.
