Anybody here use Starlink?

Finally caved and ordered one. Been pondering mounting solutions all day and wondering if anybody has any that they liked/disliked.

If a guy were to have an old-school mast antenna, could he mount it to the top of that?

We use stat link at work. We just mount it on top of are office trailer. The only thing the will hinder your single is trees and building. you will need a clear area to mount it. Rain snow or shine it works.

As of now it'll be on the 2nd story roof at the peak. There's a tree due west at the front of the house but they say it points north and closest trees are 100ft away to the North...so hopefully it's OK.

At least that's the tentative plan....

For residential locations, what's the hardware costs? Speeds?

Equipment is $600+ shipping/tax so around $685 out the door.

Speeds...idk numbers but a buddy had it in Skaitook and it was faster than my high speed internet in Bixby.

Really sucks not having any real options.
Basically it's this or Hughes Net, and I've heard nothing good regarding Hughes Net.

Says the system will ship within a week so I better figure our mounting and such!

Been on StarLink for about 18 months. 99% + up time, speed 100 mbs down and 20 mbs up.
