Looks like they were Iowa-class battleship tubes.

A quick research shows these are mark 7 16"/50 guns used on Iowa and Montana class Battleships. That narrows the list some.

Montana's were never built, so that means they have to be for either:

USS Iowa (BB-61)
USS New Jersey (BB-62)
USS Missouri (BB-63)
USS Wisconsin (BB-64)

Right?

They'd also have to be replacement barrels since all of those ships were launched prior to or in early 1944 not leaving time for these dated guns to be installed? Although it does appear that Missouri might have had guns installed well into 1944? Hell I don't know... I'm just good with google but I would be cool to know where these saw service.

EDIT: There are more pictures also... Looks like some of the breeches have dates of 1942 and 1943 as well. These guns almost had to have seen service. Wouldn't have taken out any ships, but definitely did some bombardment!
