So since this thread has had some different things about .223 vs 5.56 my AR is stamped .223/5.56 so would it be .223 as a best bet?

.223 will fit into a Wylde or 5.56 chamber. 5.56 won't fit into a .223 chamber (safely). I've never seen a ".223/5.56" stamp, but the important thing is to make sure that its got 5.56 stamped on it (before you go putting 5.56 NATO ammo in it).

if it fires and doesn't stroke, you were losing gas somewhere. didn't have jack to do with the wolf ammo. check your gas rings on your bolt in addition to what others have suggested.

I am not sure what "notoriously underpowered" means but I have never had a problem with it.

My Bushy XM15 is stamped .223-5.56. Guess they stamp it that way so there will not be any confusion on what you can shoot safely.

I'd think it would have to be something in the gas system as well. I've shot S. African and all sorts of cheap ammo out of mine and had no problems.

My lower is stamped .223/5.56 the barrel is stamped 5.56. Not sure who made the barrel/upper. I believe the lower is Olympic arms. I will put pics of the barrel stamping/lower stamping.

Almost forgot. Other than Midwayusa.com and cheaperthandirt.com where is a good place to look for AR parts? Mainly stock, handguards and pistol grips

Well then I have a better question :) Yep I am full of questions. Where is a good place in Tulsa to go for AR parts and possibly installation of said parts since I seem to be bad luck with this thing right now

Here is my lower. So I googled the serial number and came up with olympic arms. If anyone has a better answer please let me know. Also I am trying to figure out if this is milspec or not before I purchase a new stock.
