I've got an Eotech w/ 3x fts magnifier, I love it, worth every penny. But if your just plinking just any eotech you can afford would be great. I haven't seen anything to convince me that aimpoints are more reliable than eotechs. But I have shot service rifles with both systems. I prefer the eotech.

A guy can go crazy trying to get the best set-up:smash:

A burris fastfire is a nice reddot, I wouldn't trust it with my life though. I use it as a backup sight on one of my AR's

I'd rather buy a used or older generation EOtech/Aimpoint/ACOG than new knock-off stuff. But that's from personal experience and product failure.

Psssst....you can get used ACOGs for around $500...and worth every penny of it.

I have an older BSA red dot sight that I have used on an AR 15 and is now on my AR10 sighted for 200 yds works really well for a $45.00 sight unless you are shooting at something red, i'm shure if I droped it or got in anykind of harsh conditions it would crap out

I have had an eotech for over a year now without any problems. However I would have bought aimpoint had they been closer in price. Less weight, better battery life etc.
