AR15 Build in 6.8 SPC Question

I want to build a AR15 for a 6.8SPC upper (deer hunting) and I also want to to be able to use a 223 upper, would I need lower that was marked multi caliber?

your wallet will hate it though. it is awesome. I had a stag in 6.8 and spent a **** load of money on ammo when they first came out. I sold it and regreat it though.

It really costs me no more to load 6.8 than it does 5.56. About the best you'll see on commercial ammo is $12-13/box. Silver State ammo is the best.

When I had mine there no dies or brass, I was paying 20.00 a box.

Ok, I'm looking at the same cal upper to deer hunt this fall. What is everyones thoughts on 16" vs 20". I know my fps will be higher with the 20" but is it enough to make a difference. Having a hard time finding someone that makes 20".
