are pro mags for 1911's any good?

Metalform mags are good are they not? I was thinking that is the company that makes Colt's magazines.

I would not 2.40 for a ProMag, let alone 24.00.

saw some at bass pro for $24 and was just wondering if they're worth it or should i just order some chip mcormick double star mags from brownells? they're the same price, except for the shipping

I used ProMags in a Sg 220 and did not expereince any problems. Howver, I did expereince problems with their double stack mags in a Sig 226. Fir 1911's you can find a large number of truly reliable mags that I would not opt for the ProMags. The Novak/Act MAg magazines have been totaly reliable in my experience.
