Typical lib dem reasons against taking/passing civics test????
1. Democratic senator David Bradley, "My point now is tests don't make citizens, citizens are tested by their actions."

2. Joe Thomas, high school government teacher, said he was concerned that having students take a 100-question test would take up an entire class period and will not be an effective way of getting students engaged in civics.

The citizenship test is one that any eighth grader should be able to pass. And, while the citizenship test isn't the only way to engage students in civics, it is a way. One that I have used many times.

He's right. That would cut into talking about their cats, complaining about school administrators, showing movies or other common school teacher educational techniques.
