Violent crime is going out the roof in Baltimore since the riots.

Arrests are down 58% since the riots, yet the murder rate and crime rate is going through the roof.

38 murders so far for the month of May.

Police officers are avoiding the area where most of the crime is taking place.

Are the Police sending a message, or are they being directed by the city administration to stay away?

Just read that when a Police cruiser stops in that area, 30-50 people rush it and surround it.

Seems they have been emboldened.

Residents in the area that just want to live there and not have any issues are mad because the Police aren't in the area to protect them.
A 7 year old was killed this morning.

I'm not surprised. With the rioting public on one side and a DA with an agenda on the other side, the proactive part of the PD will drop to the bare minimum. Instead of watching for crimes to be committed and taking action, they are only going to respond to what the public reports. How many of those citizens are willing to call the PD and have their name on a report making a complaint?

Seems like natural selection is finally being allowed to work in Baltimore. Maybe folks will realize it's up to them to protect themselves, and quit relying on the government to do it.
