A sad deal. Let's see how much time the shooters actually serve. I'd bet it's minimal, if any. That's the problem, not some open carry BS.

Just read on a friends FB post, her friend said that it was because of the "conceal and carry law" they passed last week.........

Hope the innocent survive and heal and the thugs rot as they should in prison.

ESPN is reporting that

OKLAHOMA CITY -- At least eight people were shot late Monday blocks from Chesapeake Energy Arena after the NBA playoff game between the Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City police said.

Capt. Dexter Nelson said some scuffles broke out in a crowd of people walking east toward the Bricktown district, a popular nightlife area.

"Some girls got into it with a group of guys, and the guys opened fire on the women," Nelson said.

He said the shooting occurred at 11:35 p.m. Police know of at least eight people wounded in the incident, but Nelson did not have information on their ages or genders. He said one victim was in critical condition while the others sustained nonlife-threatening injuries.

Nelson said earlier reports of two suspects being arrested were not accurate. He said police stopped one vehicle near the incident and had detained and questioned the occupants. However, he said it was unclear how or even if the vehicle's occupants were involved in the shooting.

Nelson said the investigation was ongoing.

A group of guys fired on a group of girls??!!

I was thinking as I watched the crowds outside watching the game that this would be a horrible time for a terrorist attack with all of the people inside and outside the game watching. Hope someone besides lawful firearms owners pays the price for this. There are always people that see things but are afraid to come forward. In the chaos and turmoil with people ducking for cover there may never be anyone charged though. This is why we never go to huge events like this, plus the fact that it is much cheaper to watch from home.
