We camped at Bliuegrass Music Festivals in this area for decades. Waldron Ark, ( Turkey Track Festival) south of Ft Smith has a good festival,This draws literally hundreds of campers , and a few years ago a group of people from California were camped togather, all setting around a fire, This was in the fall of the years. There were several large trees, where they were camped, A small black bear came down from one of these trees right in the middle of where all these peoiple were setting, and caused a panic! The little bear was scared worse than the people I think! That gave all these oid farts something to talk about for a few days!
