Well, I thought of that as well, but I thought you pretty well addressed that. Looking at your pics and thinking that through again, though, you might well be correct since your bullets are 'as cast' without any lube.

With that in mind, 1fast8, there are many different types of lube, many different configurations of bullets. You are correct that all cast bullets will have some lube of some sort, but they may have drastically different physical appearances. Are we getting anywhere close to answering your (perfectly legitimate) question???
