That was my thought too. I don't like fruity beer.
I had one last night that was probably the most unusual beer I've ever tried. If memory serves, it was called Duchesse de Bourgogne. It very much reminded me of red wine.

Edit: A coworker just told me that an extremely limited supply to the U.S. is available....very limited.
I don't know if they bottle this...maybe only in growlers that you supply.

The rare of the rare ...I can get a train load of Cuban cigars but this beer..you have to be at the right place at the right time.
Made by monks at the Trappist Abbey of Saint Sixtus in Vleteren. Not to far from the town Poperinge.
Not sure when the monks make it and when they sell it ONLY at the Abbey.
Westvleteren 12. Your probably more likely to see a UFO drop off Elvis, the Loch Ness Monster, and Jimmy Hoffa...then get a sample of this beer.
