DOUBLE TAP. And it's cheaper than most other high dollar self defense rounds. Bought some 9mm's and the ballistics approach 357 magnum/ 357SIG. Never FTF, and Hot. Make sure your's can shoot +p.

Yes double tap makes some of the best 10mm ammo. In fact, they are one of the few ammo companies that still load 10mm to its design potential and to full pressures instead of the FBI light stuff.

Agreed! I have probably only shot around 1000 rounds Double Tap (.357 Sig 125gr. JHP 50rds.), and they all have functioned flawlessly. Feed really smooth, and they are definitely loaded pretty hot. Highly recommended.

What exactly makes DT the "best"?

I'm seriously asking.

I've found Hornady to be the most consistent factory offering....which is why I carry their personal defense ammo.
While I haven't bought a ton of Black Hills ammo, what I have purchased/used was probably the single most consistent I've ever tried...in every regard.
Granted I have only sampled a small amount.
