Yes, I believe you can buy long guns as a non-resident, but only from an FFL. Individual to individual must go through FFL unless you are residents of the same state. You cannot buy a handgun as a non-resident though from anyone.

Yes, I can go to Missouri and by a rifle from an FFL and take it with me. If I buy a pistol it has to be shipped to an FFL here in Oklahoma
Yes, good point. That would have to be true or you couldn't order from an online out-of-state dealer. But they will only ship to an in-state FFL.
