"Everyone is good and no one is responsible for this tragedy. It was the fault of an inanimate object, the gun. It make me feel better about the whole thing when I hate guns."

I think this is the underlying script.

I think that the use of drugs(street/prescription(?)) has been brought up. Has anyone looked into the possibility of steroids being used(pro atheletes have been known to use them)? Bob Costas would probably never bring up "roid rage" and put the blame where it could possibly really belong. For Costas, being a lib NBC Kool-Aid drinker/carrier, it is just natural/easier for him to put the blame on guns.

The comments on msn are pouring in so fast, that I could not keep up with them. This country is so far removed and divided from even my days as a kid, that we may never recover. I may not see it, but there will be another civil war in this country.

Tom Gresham sent out a newsletter this morning that I thought answered Bob's charges very well. The only thing he left out was.... how many guns did OJ use when he killed two people?

http://www.guntalk.com/site51.php

Interesting that Japan has such low levels of gun ownership but double the rate of suicides. And his second point was even better. We have twenty years of history now in the US with Shall Issue. All those people walking around every day with guns. Literally millions of them. If easy access to guns is a significant "cause" of murder or even suicide, all our US numbers should be way up. In fact, they have fallen year after year. It's the "worst case scenario" as far as the anti-gun people are concerned. Millions of civilians carrying guns ever day should have resulted in their often repeated "blood in the streets." The opposite has happened. They desperately ignore the facts but given the number of years and variety of states involved... that becomes harder and harder every year.
