While I don't own one, my father has a small snub-nose .38+p he carried on duty for 28 years. I would love to have one because it is more than small enough to comfortably conceal, and with +p's it would have plenty of knock down power. There are countless holster possibilities from IWB, pocket, belt, and even a "check six" SOB. That would probably be "my" ultimate carry weapon. He just won't give it up.... YET

Currently carrying a STI Escort 1911 3" in 45 acp. Feels pretty good. But if you like an M&P get one. I also have a M&P40C and my wife has the M&P9C... it has smooth enough edges that I can hardly tell when I'm wearing it. IWB about 4 o'clock. Today..the M&P40C gets my number one vote..hands down.

I own a full size M&P 9mm already. I like the m&P 9C fine, but it isn't as easy to hold and is the grip that much shorter to make it easier to carry? it isn't thinner by any means. So, why carry the compact if the only diff is the length of the barrel down your leg?

Not making a statement.. just asking to find out. I love the full size, I'm sure I could learn to like the compact just as much.
