maybe they have different laws up there.

my parents used to own a liquor store here. i can remember when they were getting it ready and stuff, i would go in after school. one day, mom stopped me at the door and said you cant come in. i was like WTF!! it was the day, i guess, that the liquor got delivered. it was kinda hard to understand as a child.

This is horrific. I wonder if the little fella had wandered into the store unobserved after getting separated from parents and found the gun. The article says he was "found" about 10:15am. Makes me wonder if this was a child of the owners or what. So basically that liquor store was open and unsecured so that even a customer could pick up the gun.

On another note, notice the AP photo on the article is a Beretta 92 and several articles the media shows the same weapon.

The pictures are probably stock images they had available and for which they owned the rights. I'm guessing the editors opt to use incorrect images rather than have the owner of a correct image make a fuss about copyright violations.
