No, Let's just put the casino in your neighborhood since you're all for it and think it won't pose any issue. Then we'll all be happy.

Used to live just down the street from the Riverspirit. Didn't bother me any, but I sure did hate that Wal-mart.

River Spirit is not even close to being a comparative location to the proposed casino in B.A. River Spirit is located directly on a major 4 lane divided arterial road, bordered by a river one one side and thousands of businesses within the immediate mile radius. In B.A. There is absolutely NOTHING except for 2 lane non shouldered roads, family homes, schools and chruches within a 2 mile radius.

While you may not have seen any increase in crime, I'm guessing that the Tulsa Police blotter says different. "There is no other negative effect"... how do you know?

I know based on anecdotal evidence. From my experience there has not been any noticeable increase or crime or negative effects of there being a casino by me. there is how I know

Haha this is kinda funny to read. GMThunder ya really got 'em going here huh? One calling you stupid, another researching your religious beliefs as if that had anything to do with it.

Who'da thunk you'd have gun nuts on OSA quoting a vague and incomplete study from the University of Illinois as proof. I guess some will cling to liberals when it suits them?

sounds great! but do you have any facts about that??

HA! :)

I can't argue about that 81st and Lewis WM. In some ways it's worse than the one on Admiral and Memorial.

You've still made my point though. You chose to live in that environment and so why would you complain about it? :anyone:.

I chose to live in the relative safety of the Tulsa / B.A. line for peace and quiet and ultra low crime. I don't want a casino next door and I honestly don't give two $h!t$ about what anyone who doesn't live in the affected area thinks about it.

Wasn't complaining about that area..... just the Wal-mart?

What's the affected area in your opinion?

Ya, that WM really does suck. But I was just speaking to the fact that you moved next to the casino so you ovbiously accepted whatever that meant.

Dunno, but I live within 2 miles of it. That's within the bounds I'd say.

Every day, my wife and 3 kids will drive one of the same roads that the liquored-up, mouth-breathers or senile grandmas bleeding away their SSI check will be swerving all over.

I'll likely have to post a guard to keep the roving bands of desperate morons who just crapped their rent money down the crap table from trying to take my stash.

At least maybe they'll get some good washed up bands with only one original member to blast their devil music loud enough to hear from my deck.

The Casino caused me no problems.

Well I'm just a bit outside of that at 2 3/4 miles, does this mean I have to stand point too? Gonna have to explain to the other half that I REALLY need that Arsenal AK because the casino is coming!!

Ya, I got ya beat by about a mile and a 1/4 actually. I'm close enough to actually be able to mount a rooftop platform on my abode and pick off all of the feral hookers in the parking lot before they can reach my door.

We can join forces and setup a joint task force with peanut, reddog and a few others in the area too. :)

All you self-reliant, John Wayne types whining about a casino when 99% of your other posts are about "personal responsibility". Hypocrites.

I can understand not wanting one built next door for the noise, traffic, and general inconvenience, but not wanting one because "they destroy lives" is an overly emotional argument. The casino didn't force someone to waste their life's fortune and it did not cause anyone to embezzle. Moral weakness and lack of character caused those things.

Toughen up lassies, you are an embarrassment to your own self-proclaimed values of self-reliance. The Duke would shake his head in disgust.
