I’ve always liked full rail Springfield Operators. This is a Mil-Spec version that I’ve slowly been swapping parts on. Recently, put in new fire control parts (Apex hammer, EGW sear and disconnector), and a 10-8 Flat trigger. Previous changes were a Smith&Alexander flat checkered mainspring housing to replace the ILS unit, a EGW HD extended magazine catch, 10-8 rear sight. Grips are Simonich Gunner grips that came from Strider Knives.
The next modifications will be a new extractor, firing pin stop, and slide stop. It will mostly MIM free at that point.

Been too long since anyone posted a 1911 picture... Here are my latest:

CMP Service Grade. Got it in the 2nd go round last October. Took exactly 2 years from my application submission to get the call. Colt slide and Colt frame tho they're mismatched. It's in really good shape and shoots great. '43 production.

Other is a new Colt O1911C Classic. Nothing special other than it's a Colt 1911.

Keep your eyes out for the “correct” slide or frame for your CMP 1911.
