Go ahead, downplay China's military capacity. One of the biggest difference between them and us is the level of willingness to expend personnel.
If Obama manages to get a 2nd term ( or maybe sooner) I'd watch for China to make a move to take Taiwan back. I don't think our current leadership has the will to oppose them if they do.
