Competent gunsmiths in Oklahoma?

I need some barrel work done on an old Winchester .22 rifle...either sleeved or counter-bored.

Having used a few nearby gunsmiths in the past that were not all that whoopee...I'm looking for somebody better.

Any referals for a Oklahoma gunsmith capable of sleeving and rechambering an ancient .22 Winchester??

Honeybee's done some work for us. We were very, very pleased.

Robert Rigsby at H&H has also worked on my stuff. Again, very happy with the finished product.

Depending on your location and needed turnaround time, either of these guys will do right by you.

I tried to have Honeybee do some work for me back when he was gearing up for the move to Yukon... I didn't have very good luck with the work, but in all fairness, his planned move may have had him a little too preoccupied.

Benefit of doubt, Fransons portfolio suggests he is a restoration specialist... At least the pics looked dang good.

I didn't say I took my guns to H&H. I said I take them to Robert Rigsby at H&H. There is a BIG difference. Who is the guy in Moore? Has he been there long?

I didn't even read the thread or your comments. I took a few guns into H&H and they came back a bit dinged. More than any of us recall also one had surface rust on the blue.

The guy in Moore has been there as long as I know. I've only taken 1 gun to him but the work was good and seemed reasonable.

I hear ya. That's why I specified WHO ... I'm gonna have to ask GC if he knows about the guy in Moore. Honestly, since I've always had him, Honeybee or Robert to talk to, I've not ever had the need to use anybody else but it never hurts to keep your options open ... Who knows? GC might leave me for that cute dispatcher one of these days ...
