My only point is that the world as it is today and the country the US has become is not what those heroes were fighting to protect. I see this as one separate, clear statement. I'm not trying to debate how we got where we are. But appreciate your thoughts and comments.I think it goes beyond the "fighting" to create. I think the upbringing that some did with their children led to poor results. I'm of the generation that was raised by those of WWII, the Depression, and the Dust Bowl. While many of those of the "Greatest Generation" did well with raising their kids, not all of them did. Those kids went on to become hippies, do drugs, experience free love, and then many went on to become professors in college and try to indoctrinate the later generations.
