Id have taken a step or two to the right and fired. That horse wouldnt get hit.

At first I was shooting iPhone pics, but the dog would not approach closer on account of the water. So, I walked over to the left and he advanced on me, but when I presented the Alaskan he shied away from it. At that point he backed off and joined the other dogs. The only good shot I would have had is if the water was not there and he got a lot closer. That way I could have been aiming at a downward angle and if the bullet went all the way through him, it would have impacted into the ground.

My wife is not to go outside and close the chicken house tonight. Although the chicken house is in a large fenced in chicken yard, leaving the door open at night presents risks. But her going out there in the dark also presents risks - horrific risks.

The fact that I will be working tonight and the next two nights means she must stay inside.
