Nearly 4 pages of harping about an old man in a bow tie doing something no one on this forum could even come close to doing. I'm betting at least 50% of us couldn't even get from the dock into the canoe without going in the drink. (Ron - speaking from experience).
He was never going to fall out. There is a trick to it. If you noticed, he took off his shoes when he climbed into the boat. This is because he wedged his toes into the side of the boat. Have you seen the close up of his feet? He was not going to fall out.
