The 70,000 miles was each year in my Nova.
1/2 of those miles was with a trailer behind it.
30,000 miles a year pulling my trailer.
Not 7,500 in 30 years. That is childs play. And does not test a darn thing.

The unknown tires were in fact used and I guess for some people I need to spell out things.
I tried used tires decades ago and found them unreliable.
And since I know them to be iffy I go new and have for a long time.

I have had double axle trailers and I built utility trailers for a few years and found double axle trailers would scrub tires to death when turning.
I never did like how they tied together with that equalizer.
I only built 1 double axle trailer.

I have thought of running some ridiculous heavy axle and aviation tires.
Never any issues with something like that .

BUT I realize I do not have any issues anyway.

So your pulling a trailer back years ago 30k miles per year or pulling that single axle trailer 30k a year now? I never claimed a test with a home built trailer. You ask if I ever have towed with one. Hope you dont get in any accidents or trouble with overloading that trailer. And just how huge of a tractor with brush hog was it again.

I had a single axle trailer I built before I built this one.
I actually had a few I built and kept and used until someone wanted to buy them.
My first one was made from 8" I beam with 1/4" wall thickness I made it a 4x8.

The axle under it was from an early station wagon 8.2 10 bolt with posi track 3.08 gear.
I hauled small cars on it like the 280Z and 240 Z stuff and a lot of Cedal slabs.

I loaded that heavy enough to make the axle tubes curve up and tires rub the side boards.
Empty the trailer and axles go right back to normal.

That trailer today sits at a saw mill and catches slabs off the conveyor. Stupid strong.
It is all I had laying around when I was 18 and I learned to weld with a stick welder making it.

Yes 30,000 miles on a single axle trailer yearly.
By the time I was 24 I had owned over 250 vehicles.
I drove most of them and people would stop me and just have to have it.

Allis Chalmers D19 gas engine tractor so not huge but a big tractor for this trailer.
I will admit that. I went from my house in Yukon to my uncles in MWC to give him his tractor back.
I went down Reno avenue as I am not so stupid as to try to pull and stop that load at highway speeds.
That one bent my ramps.

Now were getting somewhere.
You havent been 30k miles a year with this trailer.
You've overloaded this single axle trailer with approx 7700 lb of tractor.
You've overloaded same trailer with 10500 lbs of sod
You've' overloaded same trailer with police car and a Nomad.
You've towed this single axle trailer with dangerously oversize loads at slow speeds around backroads.
Thanks for clearing things up.

Any way you look at it, the trailer is overloaded. Glad you got away with it again and I pray your luck holds up for everyone else’s safety. I have a dual axle car trailer if you need to haul another car.
