Where are you reading Moore is ahead in polls? Everything I have read is he's behind 12 or so points

Well he has dropped, the stuff I was seeing was after the allegations came out and was posted a couple of days ago.

According to this a RCP poll has Jones ahead but barely. Him staying in and fighting is going to solidify his base. It's going to be interesting to see how big it really is. Note the bolded part. Remember that the polls were horribly flawed on Clinton/Trump and if this is an indicator, they still are...

The new poll, released Thursday, was conducted from Monday to Wednesday using a random sample of 823 registered Alabama voters with an error margin of 3 points.

The poll also showed that former president Barack Obama (52%) with a higher favorability rating than President Trump (50%). Obama lost Alabama by more than 20 points in both 2008 and 2012.

Jones is now leading the race, according to Real Clear Politics' polling average on Friday afternoon, but only by 0.2%.

A blind squirrel finds a nut: “The accusers of Bill Clinton back in the ‘90s were never given the credence, and treated with the same respect that these women [accusing Roy Moore] are being treated. And I think that there is something to be said about how society has evolved since then, but, in addition, it’s hard not to look back at that period and think: 'You know what? The media treated those women poorly.’” —CNN’s Jake Tapper

“Do you think Bill Clinton inspired a whole generation of lecherous ‘male feminists’? It was quite a message: Have the right politics, and you can get away doing anything to women. —Frank Fleming
