I shot one a few years back. I didn't mind it that much. The recoil was minimal because of weight, muzzle blast was .357. The thing that I remember most was the mass of the moving slide. There was a definite CHUNK-CHUNK as the slide moved with recoil. Fun gun. I have the .44 version, which makes everything more "snappy."

Fun guns. As mentioned their weight helps accurracy as they are so heavy it dampens any shake in your hands. Can be kinda load picky as it needs a hot load to move the slide back fully to keep it from jamming. Just wish they would hold more than 9 rounds.

I shot one in .50....once. After my arm and shoulder regained some semblance of normal feeling, I decided it wasn't my cup of tea. Too big and too heavy for any practical purpose

My first pistol ... 357 desert eagle back in 1989. I shot that thing every time I had some cash for ammo. It was tons of fun. I would shoot bowling pin necks until the top flew off.

Part of me always wished I had bought the 44 though - I just love 44.

Don't shoot lead in them, it will clog the gas system.

Anyone ever shot one? What did you think?
Mike

Had one years ago.

Fun to shoot when I could get it to shoot.

It was VERY, VERY picky about ammo.

Heavy, Heavy gun for 357.

I traded it out at a gun show a long time ago.

One of the few guns I've gotten rid of that I didn't regret trading.
