I have a 550 I might make you a really good deal on if you decide on a 550.

I will say that if I was buying my reloading setup all over again I would probably go with either a 650 or a Hornady LnL not the 550, then add a Lee Turret for smaller volumes.

I have a Lee Turret, and I have to say that with the it and the 550, if I am going to be loading less than a couple hundred, I don't bother with the 550. I pretty much only use the 550 for bulk 9mm, .223, and .38. So as far as easier to use for smaller volumes, the Lee Turret is so much easier to swap calibers and cheaper to set up for multiple calibers that I don't with the 550 unless I will be loading a bunch.

I totally forgot the Lee Turret press, it is a fine working machine and that is the one I load my Bullseye 45ACP on. It is a dedicated machine and really turns 'em out well.

What is an "automatic charger"
I thought the only difference were the pivot pins, grease zerks, and mods to allow both.
I don't see anything that the 550c offers to make me overlook a good deal on a used 550b.

Powder measure. The 550b uses a pour through design that requires separate weighing of each charge. The 550c puts the powder in during the process.

The BL550b does not come with a powder drop. This is still current available.

The RL550b came with a powder drop. This was replaced by the current model RL550c.
