Does anyone remember when the Wannamacher show would have celebrities attend ?

I remember in years gone by celebrities who made appearances at Wannamacher signing autographs or attending the show because they were collectors. Does anyone else remember that ?

One of the last I remember being there was Dale Robertson being present signing autographs in the 90's or early 2000's

Yes and I even remember going in the 60's when it was in the shoe warehouse building which doesn't exist anymore.

yep, i remember Grizzly Adams, LT. COL. Bo Gritz, from Enid, and some of the atomic bombing crew.

James Drury , The Virginian used to have a booth. Hank Williams Jr. was there a few years back. Buck Taylor has been setting up the last few years signing autographs and selling his artwork.

He has an FFL and wouldn't sell but to other dealers. He had several new in the box Seville single actions for $500 each. I wanted one but didn't know anyone who had an FFL. Thing would be worth $1500 now.

I miss gun shows back when there wasn't any beef jerky, and purse sales . If it wasn't a gun , knife or related to it then it wasn't at a gun show.

I remember I think 1986 when A. G. Rusell had several prominent blade smiths set up at the show. Bill Moran did cutting demonstration on top South side what is now an eating area.
