TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma's former lead seismologist says he felt pressured by a University of Oklahoma official to not link the state's surge in earthquakes to oil and gas production.

I attended a luncheon with the head of the Oklahoma Geological Survey. The discussion was over wastewater injection and earthquakes. They pointed out a correlation in the reduction in wastewater wells and a reduction in earthquakes. As well as an increase in both. I'm not sure how this guy felt pressured when the link has already been established in partnership with OU.
