Hello I'm turning 21 in april and I've been looking at buying a handgun. Any suggestions?
GLOCK 19, a mid-sized 9mm. Holds 15 + 1 rounds.
I was thinking more like 40,45

How about a GLOCK 23? It's a .40 and you can also buy a .357 sig barrel and have another caliber without having to change anything else.

I'm going to paraphrase what I just wrote in another thread to BBW that was asking about a gun for his GF.
Guns def aren't a "one size fits all" item. I'd rather carry a properly fitted 9mm than a .45 that doesn't fit my hand. When taking my GF gun shopping, we looked at and tried on alot of different guns both at the store and at home before she finally decided on what fit her best. If you are going to carry it concealed then try a holster on with it and see if the gun's weight/size is right for you. I've been guilty of buying a "cool new gun" and later realizing that there is no freakin way I could carry it concealed.
So.... borrow, rent and window shop for your gun before making a final decision or you might be selling your "LNIB gun w/ free holster" on here in a week or two after buying. I'm just sayin!
