Wow! Did you read some of the negative comments on that page? Hunting sure isn't what it used to be.

Scott

Nope. I can imagine whats there, but there is no enlightenment to be gained from reading that mindless drivel.

Maybe some of the "anti bear hunting" toolboxes will take a few steps out of there backyard and educate themselves on the verbal vomit they spew.

If not for the AGFC's work in the 50's and 60's and there continued management today (funded directly by hunters and Pittman-Robertson) there would not be a wild black bear in Arkansas or Oklahoma. Oklahoma's bear hunting season will do nothing but ensure the species is protected. That's it in a nutshell.

Obviously hunting is terrible on bears, seeing how Arkansas has gone from near extinction to a flourishing population in 50 years while harvest numbers increase steadily. Shame on those hunters for funding bear trap and transplants in areas where unregulated slaughter had eliminated native bears in Arkansas.

These people are not capable of exercising rational thought on the issue, therefore they are not worthy of acknowledgement.
