+1 for the Black Max in that price range. Way back when I bought mine they were closer to $100, and they're still working after 20 years!

Agreed. Its well worth the money. Academy has them for 49.99 this week. Thinking of picking up a couple to go along with the two others I already have. They're better built IMO than the Pinnacles and Pfleugers in that price range even though I've never had problems with the ones I have.
For 49.99 I may go pick up a black max. The last two years my stepdad has gotten me a new shimano for christmas. Love that man.
