Since we're on the topic of flag etiquette lately, remember that flags belong at half mast on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

If you see one not at half mast (tattered or not) don't hesitate to call 'em on it.

You know, I thought about that usage after I posted the thread. I always get them mixed up. So I Googled "half-mast" and (almost) all the images returned were not of a ship. Funny how that works.

So I checked a couple of online dictionarys. Well damn if they're not much help.

Well, since I couldn't edit the thread title, I decided to leave well enough alone. Meh, I figured some smart-ass would be along soon enough to give me the low-down on the proper usage and I could sleep better tonight.

In the mean time, I'd just put my flag midway up the damn thing it's flying from and call it good.
