They could've lost power in the middle of maneuvering, so the rudder was possibly out of center when it lost power? Also, currents play a role as well.

The more I look at this it seems to be deliberate.

1) only bridge without concrete bumpers in front of the support...
2) single screw ship with rudder failure and engine stall? Seemed to turn fairly quickly, did it have bow thrusters on?
3) Sped up video makes collision appear deliberate.
4) investigation only took 4 or 5 hours? No maritime inquiry?

I think it was caused for the benefit of the auto industry. Creating another false chip shortage so they can keep their prices inflated.
