Front site on Buckmark Camper

I had a post awhile back asking for advice on buying a .22 pistol. I was heavily leaning towards the Ruger MKlll. However, I have decided to go with the Buckmark Camper instead. Mostly because of its ease of taking it apart for cleaning, etc.

Here is my question. I plan on making my own holster for it as my FIL is very good with leather working and can help guide me. The Camper has the Trueglow front site. Does it old up well to repeated holstering. Seems like it may be a part of the site system that can get easily broken or out of alignment. What's your experience with this? Anything to worry about.

Never had any problem with mine, it's about 35-40 years old.

I think you can get a replacement from Brownells for like $15-20.

When your making this holster make sure you form a sight track so the front sight isn't constantly being rubbed by the leather.

Can you briefly explain. I watched my FIL make my holster for my High Standard Model B but I don't believe such a design was required for it. THis one should be very similar in design with a the twist you mentioned.
