One could just leave...or start up their own "United States" if they don't like the censorship.

And go where? This was the last chance, and we blew it. The "love it or leave it" mantra is foolishness; it just shows a blind patriotism in a very, very broken system, and an apathy to fixing it. We need to fix it, but peacefully, if that's at all possible.

Just a little side note from the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independance.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Everyone believes the UN will come to the governments side in a serious revolt. I'm sure they will but when the guys in blue helmets start getting killed I don't think they will stick around much longer.

I believe a full scale revolt will be the only thing to stop this machine because nobody has bothered to do anything about it in the past and let it snowball, they chose to just stand by and listen to those people who say you need to go and vote and make a difference, well, look where that got us. Who hasn't heard the quote by Jefferson, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"? Thinking that voting is going to do anything but just slow the inevitable is foolish. We have people in our own group saying everything is going to be fine 20-30-40 years from now just as it was 20-30-40 years ago, there were people who said those same things over 200 years ago to our founding fathers, I'm glad they didn't listen, there were few who could have gone on and chose to be violated by the British while the majority would have been fine, this sounds much like it is today.

I forgot who it was here in the thread about secession who jumped on those talking about actually seceding from the U.S. made a lot of sense. Secede, no way, this is America, people fought and died for it, ours friends and relatives, why would someone want to walk away from something like that and just give it up?

I've always considered buying one of the deserted islands in the Bahama chain. Actually some have never been claimed. I thought I would set up a tent, declare war on the US, paddle a kayak close to the US shore, toss a dummy grenade, and surrender.

I'd get war reparations, funds to build an offshore casino, infrastructure, and so on.....I like my plan....

Dude, that's brilliant! You really know how to work the "system". Can I be your future ambassador to the US?
