You know, not long ago gas was like $3.80 and the prices came down over the past couple of months. Those damn speculators, lowering the price of gas!
I thought they lowered prices before Memorial day to get you to go someplace... then they raise em Sunday afternoon so they can punish us for going.

No no...the fluctuation of the price of gas at the pump is the sole doings of evil Illuminati speculators (and their willing stooges the station operators), since the energy business operates by a completely different set of rules from other markets.

Speculators only make money when they are right about which way the price of a particular commodity is going. They have just as much incentive to "make" the price go down as up.

has not been below $3.49 here in a long time, Stephens county always is higher than other areas.
It dropped another penny here to $3.22 today.
