I heard Dennis Hooper claimed Hackman though Hoosiers was terrible. It’s one of my favorites. Along with The Replacements, Loose Cannons and Uncommon Valor.
I thought The Quick and The Dead was terrible.

One of the most under-rated actors of all time is now a side show for the media to make fun of...sad reality of aging I guess.

In the early 2000s he was actually the richest American actor. Primarily because there is nothing he would turn down. His pride didn’t get in the way, and he didn’t have to be a lead actor.

Uncommon Valor is in my top 10 favorite movies.

A really good Hackman movie is Bat 21.
