My Place Bar-B-Que in Muskogee is really good, or it was back in the day. I looked of Trip advisor and the reviews are still really good. I preferred the one on the east side.

Hamlin's was good okie-mex back in the day, but it ain't for everyone. Probably would not recommend for someone just passing thru.

Wild Horse BBQ, south of Sallysaw a few miles, is/was famous for BBQ, if it is still open? It's been years since I was there, but it is good BBQ, and a junky old building, buy that just adds to the mistique!

Yes wild horse is still there. Pretty sure it’s been remodeled.
Still there and still darn good.
Gotta love the ribs with pork chops attached.
Sides and desserts are great too.
Prices would be at least double in a larger town.
